404 page when try to save general setting

  • I cannot save SEO settings on “General settings”. Also not able to fill the web master tools > Google Search Console filed. The same 404 error will appear and not allow to save the settings. Kindly help me to fix the issue. Many thanks.

    PS – Site health in good condition and all the plugin updates, issues everything has cleared.

    Can you please navigate to Settings > Permalinks, Select the Post Name option there (if not), and save the changes. If the issue persists, could you also try to clear your website cache and give it a go?

    I cleared the cache and I have already set the permalinks as post name in the beginning. Still shows the 404 error.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section for us to investigate further.
