Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please share the affected URL in the sensitive Data section so we can take a closer look at it?
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
If you notice other 404s
on that stats page, you will notice they all must be relative.
So, when you see a 404
on your main domain name, that actually means someone or a bot is also trying to access your website at https://example.com/https://example.com
You can simply ignore this 404. There is nothing to be worried about.
I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Should I ignore all of the 404 errors with the main URL…
the screenshot is link is in the sensitive data section.
Hello,
Thank you for the update.
Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor:
https://rankmath.com/kb/monitor-404-errors/#advanced-404-monitor
That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.
You can also fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/
Or, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
