404 Monitor not logging

I installed RankMath about a week ago on my site. Moved from Yoast SEO and Redirection.

404 Monitor turned on, mode = simple, Redirections fallback set to Default 404. Still, no 404s are logged, even when I force the error on the site.

    Any clues?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am afraid that I could not login to your site because of 2FA authentication. Please temporarily switch this off so that we can check this issue further.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Done!

    Hi Robin,

    Thanks for the patience.

I believe that this is happening because your have a 404 custom error page plugin that is intercepting all the 404s on your site and redirecting them to the custom page.
Disabling this plugin seems to fix the problem.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Aha! Okay, makes sense. Redirection plugin did log these with this plugin installed, though. Thanks for checking!

    Hi Robin,

I am glad that this info was helpful 🙂

Feel free to contact us should any other issues come up.

    Thank you.
