404 Monitor

#907839
  • Hi there,
i have trouble getting my page indexed, right now Google only indexed the homepage. With going deeper i found out that the 404 monitor contains very strange pages (round about 70 different ones). It seems to be FTP-Files. Would love to get some help on that. Pleas see here an excerpt: https://imgur.com/hpANRJh
    thank you!

  • Hello,

We only added the snippet correctly to the rank-math.php file.

You can disable the Content AI module from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Dashboard > Modules > Content AI.

    We hope that helps.

    Thanks.

    Thank you for the support!
I used the exact same code how come that it was not working when i did it?

The page is still not getting indexed. The sitemap-index-xml contains no pages only another file named ‘../page-sitemap.xml’ with the actual pages in it. Can that be the reason that it’s not getting indexed?

    Hello,

We attempted to use the login link provided, but it redirected us to the login page of your website instead of the intended dashboard page.

It seems that the login link’s validity may have already expired.

Could you kindly extend the expiration period of this link?

This will enable us to proceed with our investigation and provide the necessary assistance.

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The sitemap on your website is working fine and as expected. We use a sitemap index file that contains all the sub-sitemaps to keep everything organized and easier to crawl.

On your website you only have pages but for websites that have pages/posts and multiple different CPTs, the plugin would create multiple sub-sitemaps with the different pages and posts associated with them.

This is the default for every single SEO plugin on the market, they all generate the sitemaps like this.

If you want to see where the filter to disable the sitemap caching is enabled you can head over to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Theme file editor and select rank-math.php.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me but that doesn’t really answer my question. I put the exact same code in as the support in the rank-math.php and it was not working properly. Is there an explanation for that?

What else can be the reason that the page is not getting indexed?

    Hello,

Since the code works fine when we add, we are not sure what is causing the issue on your end. You can remove the code and try to add it again. If you see the error, share the screenshots of how you have added the code, so we can check this further.

You can use the Page Indexing report of your GSC account to figure out why the pages are not getting indexed.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,
it was just a general question. Now everything is working fine. I was just wondering why it didn’t work when i put the code in and set up the file rank-math.php before since it was the exact same code you guys put in.

I checked the GSC since weeks and it keeps saying that the pages have a noindex tag. But they have not. I checked it a couple of times and started a manual index but they still don’t get indexed.

    Hello,

Please use the “Inspect URL” tool in GSC to see how Google reads the page in real-time. Confirm that there is no noindex tag present in the live version.

You can share screenshots of the report using this tool: https://imgur.com/upload

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Hi there, I would love to hear back from you since it’s quite urgent if something is wrong with the ‘no-index’-tag. thank you!

    Hello,

Based on the details shared, it seems the issue might not be related to a noindex tag but rather to Google’s indexing process itself.

You’ve already tested with the “Inspect URL” tool, which confirms the pages are indexable. This means Google is aware of them, but it may take time for them to appear in search results.

Ensure the pages have unique, high-quality content and internal/external links pointing to them. Sometimes, thin content or lack of authority can delay indexing.

If everything appears correct and Google still isn’t indexing the pages, it might just require more time. Alternatively, you can reach out to Google support through GSC for further insights.

The homepage is already indexed by Google on its Search Result pages (SERPs). The report you are seeing on GSC is a cached crawl result as Google has not crawled your site lately. If you look closely at the screenshot you shared, you will notice that the last crawl date was October 20, 2024.

Kindly wait for Googlebot to crawl your site and update its information.

We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.

Thank you for looking into that again!
Does it make sense to initiate the sitemap again: https://tinywoodson.be/sitemap_index.xml?

    Hello,

By initiating, do you mean re-submitting it to Google Search Console? If that’s the case, there’s no need for it. Google will frequently ping the sitemap and the website to see if there are any changes to the pages or check if there are new pages that should be indexed.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
