  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your sitemap, and it seems that you haven’t verified the www (or non-www) and HTTP (or non-HTTP) version of your website. That’s why it’s showing an error 404 instead of redirecting to the correct version.

In this case, you would need to ensure that only 1 version of the sitemap is working (200 Ok status), and the rest are redirecting to it. Please follow the steps in this link:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#5-check-for-the-correct-version-of-the-sitemap

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hi, Rainelle
I have checked all the version of my sitemap in httpstatus.io and all the version including http and www and all of them shows 200 redirects. I have used the https://www.mysite.com version in my site address. So, how to redirect other versions as 300

    Hello,

There seems to be an intermittent issue with your sitemaps. They are all showing a 404 status at the moment, check the screenshot I added in the sensitive section. This is usually related to caching issues, I recommend getting in touch with your sitemap support team to assist you in resolving this.

Please note that we only monitor and log URLs that lead to 404 on your site, we do not have information on how or why they are generated.

You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor.
    404 monitor

That will give you more information like the referrer and the user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.

As for redirecting your URLs to WWW/non-WWW & https/http, you can refer to this article: https://htaccessbook.com/htaccess-redirect-https-www/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
