    Hello, Can you help please

My website is in the process of being indexed, discovered etc in google console

I cant see my homepage in any of the lists of pages they find.
I have checked the page and its marked as index

But im getting this strange 404 error:

    https://crucialmaintenance.co.uk/https:/crucialmaintenance.co.uk

The above URL has been searched at least 14 times at different times of the day, making the 404 error log, it started when I asked google console to check my site.

Wondering if theres errors in some of my code, thats why google cant seem to find my homepage, Even though I can open my website by typing in the URL, and it all works fine.

    Any ideas please?

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with your website. It seems that you’re experiencing a 404 error related to your homepage URL. This can be quite frustrating, especially when trying to get your website indexed on Google.

To address this issue, I recommend checking the Google Search Console to identify the source of the 404 error. You can navigate to the “Not indexed” tab and then select “Not found (404)” and “Soft 404” reasons. This will help you identify the specific pages that are returning 404 errors.

Additionally, you may want to ensure that your website is correctly configured in the Google Search Console and that the correct variation of your site is selected in the property dropdown menu.

If you have Rank Math installed, you can also use its features to discover the source of your 404 errors and redirect visitors to the correct URL. You can enable the 404 Monitor module in Rank Math SEO Dashboard to track and address these errors.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to reply, and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
