You are following all the correct steps but it looks like the issue lays on our end. Our setup wizard connects to the old search console which seems to be causing the issues when detecting the site URL.

thanks i thought that and i did notify the group on facebook but they felt that it didn’t matter if it went to the old one or new one
but yes it does seem that is the issue here
