Hi Michael, I’m experiencing a similar issue – Rank Math not detecting images on a page in the Divi theme.
Here’s some weird things that you guys might be interested in:
This error is not limited to background section or row images. (Which is what I assume ‘content within complex page modules’ means?) Even an image inserted via the standard Divi Image Module is (sometimes) not being recognised by Rank Math.
This error is not consistent. I have some Pages with Image Modules that Rank Math detects no problem. Then other Pages with Image Modules that Rank Math is giving the ‘You are not using rich media like images’ error. From my experience so far, it’s detecting images in Posts just fine. It’s Pages where the inconsistency is occurring.
While I understand that the recommendations given are a guide only and won’t significantly impact SEO, if you’re going to ‘game-ify’ good SEO (which Rank Math does well by encouraging users to pursue that elusive green light), it would be great to see this issues addressed. Please don’t deny us the satisfaction of getting that green light! 🙂
