There are some features on Yoast that would be extremely beneficial. I want to keep rank math as my main seo tool but wondered if it would be possible to install and activate yoast – fine tune my on site page seo and then return to rank math without losing my structured data, meta titles and descriptions etc and everything I have set up with Rankmath?
Thanks again

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
We have an option to import data from other related plugins, such as Yoast. You can safely import your meta from Yoast in Rank math > Status & Tools > Import & Export under other plugins import section
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hiya Michael, thanks for your message. Yes I saw this but maybe you misunderstood my question or I misunderstood your answer. I do not want to import any seo from Yoast. I currently have Rank Math installed on my site. However there are some seo functionality in Yoast that I would like to use.
I was wondering it would be possible to install and activate yoast (to reiterate I am currently using rank math) – fine tune my on site page seo using their plugin and then return to rank math without losing my structured data, meta titles and descriptions etc and everything I have set up with Rankmath whgich is there at the moment?
Hello,
Thank you for following up.
The plugins( Rank math and Yoast) offer almost similar services. Activating one you will need to deactivate the other to avoid conflict on your site which might have unforeseen effects.
My suggestion was, assuming you just want to ‘fine tune’ as you said it, you can do so and then while moving back to Rank math, import the data from Yoast back into Rank math and there would be no data loss. If you wish to move to Yoast with data set in Rank math, you can check if they do have an option where you can import Rank math data.
Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
Hiya Michael, thanks for your message – I will check with yoast and come back to you.
They have a lot of features which rank math doesn’t have in particular their readability tab:
can your plugin identify the flesch reading score, passive vs active voice, etc etc please?
Hello,
We have removed the Flesch readability test from the Rank Math plugin.
It is no longer relevant and that is the reason we removed it. After the BERT update, the automated readability tests have little to no value. What matters now is how well the content is targeted towards the keyword intent and Flesch readability test cannot tell you that.
They were making the text crippled for users just because they were trying to satisfy the tests.
You can read more about the BERT update here:

Hiya, Thanks for your reply – is there a tool you have replaced it with then please that allows the content to be tageted twoards keyword intent – not just the meta title and description as it does at the moment please? Thanks again
Sorry, I would also like to ask what this is please? class=”rank-math-link” and how it is used and where it would come from please? I have seen it in code in another website? Thanks again
Hello,
We do not have an alternative to the readability tests because it is hard for a tool to judge the keyword intent. Google with all its resources has only recently started to do that.
With that said, you can definitely do the following if some of the content related options in Yoast are a must for you:
1. Disable Rank Math and activate Yoast
2. Make changes to your content based on the readability tools
3. Disable Yoast and re-enable Rank Math
4. Since the changes are going to be done to your content, there is no need to run the import tool every time you do this process. The
rank-math-link
is the class we assign to links in Gutenberg Editor so that Rank Math’s link options like the rel=nofollow, sponsored, open in a new tab, will work correctly.Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
That’s great thanks so much for your help!
