where i describe the name and domain of the competitor that is ranking for a normal keyword where google think its a brand, the keyword is chiropractor+city name

One thing you have not mentioned doing that might help here since we are talking about a branded keywords is improving your brand recognition via marketing or any other forms.
Do you have social media profiles set up for your business? Do you claim business profiles on Google, Yelp, etc.?
Those are just some ideas that might help improve your brand awareness and help increase the rankings for those keywords.
Also, don’t forget about the other SEO keywords, and don’t focus too much time on trying to get this one perfectly while others might be suffering.
