WPML and Robot.txt

    Rank Math free

    Hi there,

I just started with Rank Math along with WPML. I have two questions.

    1. For string translation I have to translate two terms, “%title% %count(title)%” and “%filename%” in Dutch, German, Spanish and Russian. Since I am a Dutchman I know that these terms are not translatable in Dutch.

Do you know whether there are translations in the other languages or if English is used as well?

    2. The robot.txt file seems to be missing. In de SEO Analyses it says you provide serveral options to create one. However, I can’t find them. Can you tell me where to look?

    Thank you in advance,

    Robert

  • Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    1. You don’t need to translate the variables as they are predefined to get the related content and not displayed themselves in the front end. What needs to be translated is the content itself, for instance the %title% variable will get the title of the page or post no matter what language it is.

    2. Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. We give you an option to choose between the two during the setup wizard and you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode.

You can switch to the Advanced Mode from the top-right corner at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard
