Just tacking onto this – I’d like to have the Rank Math meta controls available for WPForo forums, but the meta box isn’t visible when editing a forum. I’ve just installed WPForo so it’s basically as it was out of the box. Is there an option somewhere I need to enable?

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Please head over to Rank math > Dashboard and make sure you are switched to advanced mode:
then head over to Rank math > Titles&Metas > Forums and enable
Add SEO Metabox option

I have now moved your issue to your own thread so you are able to add your own data in the Sensitive Data section.
I did it because we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
