WP Travel Engine compatibility

    Rank Math free

    Hi

I’m using the plugin WP Travel Engine that allows me to make trip pages like https://www.campertips.be/tip/mol/

I can enter trip data in 2 ways:
    1) Trip Content section with areas like Overview, Itinerary, FAQs,…
    2) Description area: similar to an empty blog page

I’ve always used the description area (2) and RankMath recognized the data like keywords, titles,… and I got good scores in RankMath.

However, since an update from WP Travel Engine in February, Rankmath no longer recognizes the data in the descripation area (2), but only the data in the trip content area (1) for keyword optimization and since then I get bad scores of around 50/100.

I’m now wondering if it is just a compatibility issue between WP Travel Engine and RankMath, or if it could really have a negative impact on SEO if I put information in the description area (2) instead of the Trip content area (1).

WP Travel Engine told me it might be a good idea to reach out to RankMath support for further insights. I hope you can help me?

    Kind regards
    Tine

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Rank Math and the WP Travel Engine plugin. It seems that the recent update to WP Travel Engine may have affected how Rank Math interacts with the content areas of your trip pages.

Currently, Rank Math is designed to analyze content based on the structure and data it can access. If it is only recognizing the data in the Trip Content section and not in the Description area, it could indeed be a compatibility issue between the two plugins.

Regarding your concern about SEO impact, if Rank Math is not able to analyze the content in the Description area, it may lead to lower optimization scores, which can affect your overall SEO performance. However, the actual impact on SEO would depend on various factors, including how search engines interpret and rank your content.

To address this issue effectively, we recommend reaching out to the WP Travel Engine support team as well, as they may provide insights into any changes made in their recent update that could affect compatibility with Rank Math. Additionally, you can reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will take over and provide further assistance.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this matter.

Could you perhaps contact WP Travel Engine Support Team because I am always referred to the other party?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

By default we read the contents that are usually added to the post_content area of the posts and pages and to read different values there needs to be a compatibility layer added to plugins and page builders: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

If the team from WP Traver Engine wants to make sure their plugin is fully compatible they need to implement a custom solution based on the documentation we shared above.

We don’t implement those customizations on our own plugin.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
