    Hello,

    Please I’m encountering an issue with the SEO Image ALT Attributes in Rank Math. Despite enabling the “Add missing ALT attributes” option, ALT attributes are not being added automatically to images on my WordPress website, which uses the Elementor theme.

    Even after manually adding ALT attributes, they don’t seem to be recognized or processed by Rank Math.

    As ALT attributes are very important for SEO and accessibility, I’d appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    It looks like the images are being lazy-loaded onto your website.

    When this is enabled, sometimes our function that updates the tags can’t run properly on those because the function runs before any user interaction and the lazy load only runs after the first initial interaction.

    Try disabling the lazy loading of images and see if that helps.

    Thank you for your prompt response and suggestion.

    Unfortunately, disabling lazy loading did not resolve the issue. The ALT attributes are still not being automatically added, and manually added ALT attributes are not recognized by Rank Math.

    Is there any other solution we can try?

    I appreciate any further assistance you can provide to resolve this matter.

    Hello,

    Those images are added as base64 encoded so it’s not possible to attach the ALT attributes to those. Only those images that are available in the media library can have the ALT attributes created for them when the page loads.

    Those are hard-coded into the homepage template via the theme files and don’t reference any image from the media library.
