    Hello RankMath,

    Our products are books and the reason I’m trying Schema Markup Rich Snippets is in the hope of using Rich Snippet Type: Book. While I have such a choice for a Post, for a Product it seems my only choice is None or Product. It appears that I can’t choose Rich Snippet Type :Book for a product? If I could this would open up all the features i need of the taxonomy: ISBN, Illustrators, …

    Is there some good reason for this limitation? Can I work round it in some way? Will other schema types for a product be available in future?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    Rank Math will automatically assign product snippet to all WooCommerce products. This is because this snippet type contains all the properties that are required by Google for products.
    I do not think setting the rich snippet to book would be a good idea since you would be missing out on the ability to share valuable product information such as product price, ISBN, image etc.
