Woocommerce Remove Category Base is not working

    Hi, I removed the category base, such that the URL for a product category does not show up as category/category-name, but instead as just /category-name. The URL forwarding seems to work, but then 404 “This page doesn’t seem to exist” keeps showing up at https://www.unpopularshirts.com/t-shirts/ instead of that product category page.

    I’ve set this same thing up on different sites, so not sure why it’s not working for this site.

    Thanks a lot for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    It could be that your permalinks settings aren’t staying saved and require flushing permalinks.

    At this time, there are two solutions I can offer you.

    1. Flush rewrite rules when something changes on your website. Here are plenty of examples you can use in your particular use-case scenario.

    2. You can disable the remove category base option in Rank Math and try using some other plugin. You will likely see the issue in that as well but at least you will rule out if the issue is really due to Rank Math or your server setup.
