Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results.
Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for your response. I checked your given article. I’m shocked. If Google made changes automatically it will be troublesome right.?
I read & heard this during my training session, “If your page title is well optimised, your 50% SEO is already completed.” Here, now Google automatically doing changes in the titles & showing different titles than the mentioned titles. So, do you think it is still important to optimise the title?
In the article author mentioned this line “So your HTML title still holds its SEO value in ranking“. In our case, we saw a poor result for one of our clients, also complained about different titles showing on Google SERP & keywords ranking drop. Therefore, I’m planning to forward your mentioned link to them.
Hi Jeremy,
Another concern is I’m not sure where Google took the service page image & showing it on SERP. I mean this image. We don’t have this image on our service page. Still Google is showing it.
Do you know why Google is showing this wrong image.?
Hello,
You seem to be using Yoast on your website.
However, please note that if Google decides to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
For the images on Google SERPs, they are not controlled via the Schema markup or any plugin, but rather they are taken directly from your page or any other related page when Google thinks it’s beneficial for the user to show those.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
