Hi,
I’m wondering why there are a lot of 404 errors with urls that don’t even exist on my site?
It may be reasonable if Google Search Console recorded the visits/visitors with the 404 urls in the rankmath 404 logs, but there were no records in Google Search Console.
The urls in the 404 logs are either a key phrase or urls that don’t exist (100% sure I didn’t even create them).
It’s like
https://www.example.com/privacy_policy/
or ‘random key phrase
‘, while my actual urls are:https://www.example.com/privacy-policy/
orhttps://www.example.com/random-key-phrase/
.I don’t know why but this is rather frustrating. I have to clear the logs every day and I’m sure these logs will be in my database since there are many tables in the database created by Rankmath.
Someone (Audiomonk) also posted the same issue topic here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/lots-of-404-errors-that-i-cant-fix/
back in 2019. But your support team didn’t seem to have fixed this.By the way, your team mentioned ‘attack’ in your reply, but my site isn’t online yet, but these logs still appear.
Thanks.
