I have set it up in the plugin settings.
but when I make a new post my post description still uses the text that I typed. even though I have set the plugin settings differently. why not directly use the plugin settings.

You can try imgbb.com or prnt.sc to share some screenshots of the issue.

However, please make sure that you’re not using the %excerpt% variable in the Singe Post Description since it will automatically get the first 160 characters in your paragraph on your post.

Please also share the affected URL to check on our end if the issue still persists.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math again.

In case you want that every time you create a post you do not have to insert a meta description, then you need to use the global titles & meta settings to achieve that.

Simple head over to the Titles & Meta > Access your posts and then under the description of the single post make sure that you use the variables as %title% %currentmonth% %currentyear%.
    variable posts

Doing so will now ensure that all posts you create do have the description as indicated by these variables. As for previously created posts, you would have to change them manually.

Hope this clarifies your query. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
