Why am I serving 301's? - Support

My website at https://cjshayward.com is reported by Google Webmaster as having a 301 redirect error for all pages it tries; to pick the top one on the list, https://cjshayward.com/tribbles/”> was reported as a redirect error.

My web browser loads the page without error or odd behavior that I recall. However, a cURL looks a bit odd. “curl https://cjshayward.com/tribbles/” begins “DOCTYPE html>” without the opening “<!”, and “curl -I https://cjshayward.com/tribbles/” gives:

What should I be doing / investigating to trace why WordPress with Rank Math is serving up 301’s?

FYI there were a couple of URLs that got mangled. The leaf page that I tried to load was “…/tribbles/”.

I checked your website and I was able to see the 301 responses to your pages. Although this doesn’t seem to be caused by Rank Math.

Can you please try to temporarily disable Rank Math’s Redirection module under Rank Math > Dashboard > Modules, clear your website cache, and test the website here? https://httpstatus.io/

You should see the response code and check if Rank Math is indeed causing the 301.

The problem was triggered by having two sources of redirection, which I had because the Redirection plugin worked with regular expressions like those that work in Apache, while Rank Math redirections had difficulty with, for instance, an initial “^” (with RegExps enabled but not case insensitivity). I turned off the Rank Math redirection and left Redirection on.

Are there any known issues with getting Rank Math redirection to work on the same kind of redirections as Apache and Redirection use?

Coudl you please confirm if this regex is meant for URLs with a query parameter? If so, Rank Math doesn’t support redirecting URLs with query parameters at the moment.
