As confirmed by you the source code of the sitemap page is empty, so, there must be a conflict with another plugin or theme. You can use the Health Check plugin to determine which plugin or theme is causing this. Thank you for your support and your help, just as you suggested the problem was with one of my theme’s plugin core features. So I could figure out the plugin that had caused the conflict with the help of Health Check plugin.
