It is fine because it will help Google to easily understand your site structure, helping it to get faster crawling times.
But Google usually also recommends short URLs so if your URL is too long, I would recommend using the second option you say and enable the breadcrumbs (so Google can follow your site structure using it).

Breadcrumbs help Google and your visitors understand the correlation between various elements of your website.
It is recommended to usually only use 1 category and 1 subcategory for each post or product. If you are using too many, that will dilute down your page rank and exhaust your crawl budget on pages that do not serve many purposes.
