Hi Michelle,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
If you are using any Schema type other than article Schema from the drop down, the Schema by Rank Math
block will help you insert the Schema information on the frontend as well.
By default, the Schema information is only added to the page’s source code where bots like Google can see the Schema information. The Block helps your regular visitors see that information as well.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi Todd, Thanks for quick reply and the information but I still don’t get it 😔
I’ve tried many other types other than article.. but it just said ‘snippet not selected’, is there a documentation or example ?
oh it is just for user? so in term of SEO, does it matter ?
Sincerely,
Michelle Kwok
Hi there,
Thanks for the follow up.
In terms of SEO benefit, Google will likely award rich snippets to users who show the schema data to site visitors as well as bots.
To be able to use the schema block option, you need to have selected one of the following schema types on the sidebar:
– Book
– Course
– Event
– Product
– Recipe
– Software Application
The schema data will then be generated and displayed on the block preview and the frontend.
I hope this info helps.
