  • Hello,

Thank you for using Rank Math.

Yes, the Course URL field refers the original URL of the course and upon clicking that, users will moved to the original course site.

You can check more details from here:
    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/course

    Thank you.

How can I use this field since I am placing affiliate links on the article?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Schema data should not contain any promotional text and including this might result in a penalty. I can suggest that you use this field to add the actual course provider ie the school or university.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

By placing the actual course link how will it benefit me since I am monetizing via an affiliate link.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

The provider URL will only be displayed on the SERP when serving the rich snippet. You can then embed your affiliate link on the course details on the page content so that this will be the usable link once visitors click on the SERP result and get to your page.

    I hope this info helps.
