What better for SEO, blog or e-commerce?

Hello, I own a small business of boat rental service.

I have made my website with Woocommerce.
Being a service, I made virtual products.
Speaking with a webmaster, he said that I could make a website blog only, whithout woocommerce, showing the boat to rent in single posts.
I have made some test, but it’s not easy scoring high results in RM, because the short text.
So my question is: what would rank better in Google, a website based on posts only, or a woocommerce with virtual products, maybe with some post added with descriptive text?
