WebSite structured data

    Hello,

Google’s documentation recommends to add the WebSite structured data to the homepage only:

    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/sitelinks-searchbox
“Implement the WebSite structured data element on the homepage for your site.
Add this markup only to the homepage, not to any other pages.”

I noticed RankMath is adding the structured data to all pages. Is there a setting to change that behaviour so that it only shows up in the source code of the homepage?

    Thank you.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you confirm if you’re using the latest version of Rank Math? We have changed the behavior in our previous update (1.0.48.2). The Sitelinks search box is added to the Website entity which points to the home URL. So there shouldn’t be an issue even though the Sitelinks search box seems to appear on all your pages, it should be pointed to your homepage.

You can also test your pages in Google Rich results test tool to confirm if there are any errors with the affected URL/s.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance.
