Website run slow

  • Resolved I-Tech System
    Rank Math free

I am using Rank Math since many years.

Is there any issue with the recent update. My website became very slow after the update of the plugin on 24 April and it took me 2 days to find the reason. Today I checked the log of the sites and found that the problem occurs after Plugin Rank Math SEO (seo-by-rank-math) update completed. Previous plugin version: 1.0.242, current plugin version: 1.0.243

Today I deactivated the plugin and checked the speed of the website which was improved later. I confirm it by activating and deactivating the plugin 2-3 times and come to the conclusion.

I am using a free version of the plugin. Please test the plugin with other websites at your end.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

To determine the root cause of the issue, please install the plugin Query Monitor on the affected website and look for slow queries related to Rank Math’s latest version.

Once done, take a screenshot of the slow queries and share it with us so we can identify the cause of the issue. You can use this tool to upload the image and add the generated link here.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Check the database queries section in the Query monitor to see if any Rank Math’s query is mentioned.

    • Second, please check the PHP values of your site by going to WordPress dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info tab > Server. These values affect the performance of your site and they should be set atleast to the following recommendations:
      PHP Memory Limit: 512M
      Max input time: 150
      PHP time limit: 120
      PHP max input variables: 1000

If any of these values are lower than the recommended ones, please contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase them for you.

    • Third, please go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and reduce the number of days in the Analytics Database section. This will help you optimize the database size and speed up the loading time. You can choose to store 30 or 60 days of analytics data depending on your preference.

After you change the number of days, please save the settings and then click on the Delete Data button and then Update Data Manually. This will delete the old data and fetch the new data based on your settings.
