Website name not appearing in search results

#1114066
  • When I check how my website appears in search results like Google and Bing, the website name Libramiser is not being displayed.

Instead, search results show only my domain name (libramiser.com) in the website title section, instead of the proper website name.

Ive already followed all the recommended steps to resolve this, but the issue still persists.

I took action weeks ago and have been waiting for results, but so far, nothing has happened until now.

Could you please help me fix this?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website name not appearing in search results. It’s understandable to be concerned about how your site is displayed in search engines.

It’s important to note that Google may automatically include your brand name in the title, even if you have not explicitly added it. This can happen regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. Here are a few things you can check:

    1. Title Tag: Ensure that your title tag is correctly set up in your Rank Math settings. You can do this by navigating to the Rank Math plugin settings and checking the titles for your homepage and other important pages.

    2. Schema Markup: Make sure that your Schema Markup is properly configured. You can refer to our guide on Schema Markup for assistance.

    3. Google Search Console: Check your Google Search Console for any indexing issues or errors that might be affecting how your site appears in search results.

    4. Patience: Sometimes, it can take a while for changes to reflect in search results, as Google needs to re-index your pages after updates.

If you’ve already followed these steps and the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket with your website URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. They will be able to provide more specific guidance tailored to your situation.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we look forward to helping you resolve it!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

We understand that you are facing an issue where Google Search Results display your domain as the site name instead of the actual site name.

There are various sources that Google uses to define your site name on SERPs:

    1 . og:site_name
2 . WebSite structured data (Schema)
3 . Content in title elements
    4 . Heading elements (H1, H2, etc)

Rank Math automatically incorporates the og:site_name meta tag and the WebSite Schema on your page.

This aids Google in understanding and displaying your desired site name.

To address this and encourage Google to display the sitename instead of domain please follow these steps:
1 . Ensure that your website’s <title> tag on the homepage reflects sitename accurately.

2 . Update the og:site_name meta tag to add sitename within Rank Math settings.

3 . Double-check that your logo alt text and other significant areas on your site mention the sitename.

4 . Make sure internal links within your site use sitename rather than the domain.

5 . After making these adjustments, utilize the URL Inspection Tool in Google Search Console to request indexing for your homepage.

6 . Ensure sitename is consistently represented across all online profiles, directories, and other platforms.

7 . If you’ve rebranded or changed the name in the past, verify there’s no legacy content , old sitemaps, or outdated pages sending conflicting signals to Google.

8 . Remember, you’ll need patience as Google re-crawls and re-indexes your site. It might take some time before these updates reflect in the SERPs.

It’s important to note that while these steps can guide Google, the final site name display in SERPs is determined by Google’s algorithm, based on what it deems relevant and user-friendly.

You can further understand this by reviewing Google’s documentation on site-name: Google Site Names Documentation: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/site-names

We hope that helps, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

I have done all the recommended steps that was mentioned weeks ago but still nothing is happening. My site name is still not showing. What could be the problem?

    Hello,

That could mean that Google has not yet updated its indexed version of your site. The display name in search results is completely controlled by Google’s algorithm even when all the signals are correct.

If everything is correctly configured, you’ll just need to wait for Google to recrawl and update your listing, as this process can sometimes take several weeks.

Please note that this is not something any SEO plugin can directly force Google to display. We can only provide the proper structured data and meta signals and Google ultimately decides what to show.

    Looking forward to helping you.
