Website Name Displaying as Domain in Google Search Results – Want Brand Name

#1107010
  • Hi,

My website is displaying the domain name (travelguidesbysasha.com) as the site name in Google search results, instead of my actual site name: Travel Guides By Sasha.

    Here’s what I’ve already done:
    • Set the correct site name in RankMath > Titles & Meta > Local SEO
    • Configured the homepage SEO title/snippet in RankMath
    • Set the site title in the Kadence theme settings

Despite this, Google is still showing the domain name as the site name in search results — in addition to the domain name appearing below it. Could you please help me verify whether the correct site name is being output in the structured data on my homepage?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s name displaying incorrectly in Google search results. Thank you for providing the details of what you’ve already done to address this.

To verify whether the correct site name is being output in the structured data on your homepage, you can use Google’s Rich Results Test or the Structured Data Testing Tool. These tools will help you check if the WebSite structured data type is correctly set up and displaying your desired site name.

Here are some steps to ensure that your site name is correctly configured in Rank Math:

    1. Go to Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Local SEO and ensure that the Website Name field is filled with "Travel Guides By Sasha".
    2. Check that your homepage settings are correctly configured under Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Homepage. Make sure the Homepage Title includes your site name as well.
    3. Ensure that there are no conflicting settings in your theme that might override these settings.

If everything seems correct but the issue persists, it may take some time for Google to update its index with the new information. You can also consider submitting your homepage URL through Google Search Console to prompt a re-crawl.

If you would like more comprehensive assistance, we recommend our professional setup service, which ensures that your plugin setup adheres to the latest SEO standards. You can find more information about this service at Rank Math Services.

Please let us know if you need further assistance or if you have any other questions!

    Hello,

The sitename data you shared is already included in the schema applied to your site:
    https://validator.schema.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Ftravelguidesbysasha.com%2F

Please note that Google uses a machine learning algorithm to generate the Sitename for your pages based on other information it has collected about your website and your industry.

Also, it is completely up to Google, and even if your site has followed all the guidelines, they can still decide to show a different or no site name. You should keep working on improving your site’s content quality and authority to increase the chances of your site name appearing in the SERPs.

Moreover, we would suggest continuing to mention the desired title on both the title of the page and the schema structure (which our plugin automatically adds after configuring the Local SEO settings in Rank Math > Titles & Meta).
