That shouldn’t affect to your rankings and clicks. As it’s a Rank Math’s feature that looks for the URL mismatch.
Please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General and make sure there are no mismatches in the WordPress URL and Site URL in those options.

If you have different website URLs in there, that would explain the error message as they need to match for the connection to happen correctly.
After that, please try disconnect and reconnecting your Rank Math account again to see if this resolves your issue.
If the issue still persists, you can try adding the following filter on your website and then reconnect to your account.
/**
* Filter whether we need to check for URL mismatch or not.
*/
add_filter( 'rank_math/registration/do_url_check', '__return_false' );
After that, the plugin should be able to stay connected without any issues.

my website url setting is properly set in both spots, so your recommended fix does not help my issue. RankMath has been disconnecting and having to be reconnected for quite awhile now. While it is disconnected I don’t think the sitemap is working. Your response does not help this issue or cause of the problem.

Even if the plugin is not connected to the account the sitemap and the generation of Schema and meta tags on the pages will still work because in the Free version the connection to the account is not necessary and only helps to get additional features as mentioned here: https://rankmath.com/kb/free-account-benefits/
To prevent this from happening you could also try the steps here: https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-automatic-update-unavailable-for-this-plugin/#disable-sensitive-data-encryption
After implementing that filter you should reconnect the account once again.
