Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s indexing and crawling. It sounds like you’ve been actively managing your e-commerce site, and it’s concerning to hear about the drop in crawl requests.
From what you’ve described, there are a few potential reasons for the decrease in crawling:
-
Blocked Access: Ensure that your robots.txt file is not inadvertently blocking Google from crawling your site. You can use the robots.txt testing tool to check this.
-
Indexing Delays: If your website is relatively new or if you’ve made significant changes, it might take some time for Google to re-index your pages. The Instant Indexing plugin should help with this, but if it’s not functioning as expected, you may want to check its settings or reinstall it.
-
Manual Pinging: While manually pinging URLs can sometimes help, it’s important to use it judiciously. Overdoing it might lead to Google perceiving your site as spammy, which could negatively impact crawling.
-
Google Search Console: Regularly monitor your site’s indexation status through Google Search Console. Look for any errors or warnings that might indicate issues with crawling or indexing.
-
Content Quality: Ensure that the content you are publishing is original and valuable. Duplicate or low-quality content can lead to penalties and reduced crawling.

Hello,
Please note that an SEO plugin can’t control the crawl rate. Google is showing that your host had issues in the past, which could be why they dropped the crawl rate. Here is a guide to help you improve it: https://colorwhistle.com/increase-google-crawl-rate/
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
