    Hi
Thank you for the good work.
I have a problem that is probably related to rank math.
Every time I upload a product – the site crashes.
What happens is that most of the product pages return 404, the categories do not respond or swap with other pages, and just a big mess.
When such a thing happens there is only one solution that stops it – disconnect the rank math. Then everything is fine. Then I connect rank math back and everything is fine.
Any other solution that I tried like shutting down other plugins, including Cash, did not help. The problem has been going on for many months so there is no connection to the plugin updates. From the hosting side there is no problem.
Plus – there are 404 daily events on photos and links that I do not understand their source.

    Would appreciate help.

  • Hi again
I’m trying to figure out what exactly is going on while the site is down. I notice that what is happening is that the links of the site that have been modified in Strip Category Base have a problem.
In the past the button was working and today it is not (because it had problems with it).

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for the unexpected delays and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    hi
    i had the logins data.
    tank u.

    Hello,

I tried adding a new product in Woocommerce but I can’t seem to replicate the issue. When visiting the product pages, it also doesn’t return a 404 page as you can see in my screencast below:

    https://i.rankmath.com/wLQfPS

Is there a specific step to replicate this error? You may share a screencast from your end so we can further replicate it.

As for the 404s in your 404 monitor log, please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor.

That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.

You can fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,
    thank you for your help.

    1. In the video you sent, the Strip Category Base button is open. On my side it is always closed! Do I have to open it?

    2. The problem is with some links and not the homepage, so I’m not sure the product you created was supposed to create problems.
In any case, sometimes a problem arises after some products.

But as I described – when there is a problem then the product pages become 404. And category pages get confused with other pages or get stuck completely.
Other parts of the site are working fine.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    1. & 2. You mentioned in your last reply that the option “Strip Category Base” is causing the issue. I temporarily enable that option but I wasn’t able to replicate the issue. Perhaps you can share specific steps to replicate the issue? Also, please share the affected URLs.

But as I described – when there is a problem then the product pages become 404. And category pages get confused with other pages or get stuck completely.
Other parts of the site are working fine.

Can you please confirm if this happens randomly and if the issue is not happening all the time?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi.
I uploaded and updated products today and yesterday.
I realized this does not happen with every product. I mean it’s random. It can occur every time, but also only after 5 or 8 products. But in the end the site goes wrong.
I tried to open the Strip Category Base button, but it also did not help.
I uploaded links as examples. Both links go wrong, and so do products that belong to them.
    Thanks!

    Hello,

I tried visiting the links and they seem to be loading just fine as you can see in my video screencast in the Sensitive Data section.

However, sometimes the pages are throwing a 503 error code which is also happening in your website backend.

You may check this one with your hosting provider as there may be a frequent overload in your server.

We are looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
