WebPage schema

    Rank Math free

Hello, this article explains that the ‘WebPage’ schema is available in RankMath (Free) but I cannot find it to apply to my page. How do I set my page to be WebPage schema?

Additionally, I am correct in thinking that a generic webpage (like a company’s homepage, for example, that is not a how-to article or a specific product/service page, but just a general overview of the brand and its product range) should be WebPage schema? Is that the most accurate choice?

    Thank you

  • Hello,

I apologize for the confusion. The WebPage Schema is indeed available in Rank Math. To set up the WebPage Schema for your generic webpage, you can follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Go to Rank Math SEO.
    3. Enable the Local SEO module.
    4. Head to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Local SEO.
    5. You will see options to configure your WebSite Schema, including details like the website name, alternative name, and ownership information.

By configuring the WebSite Schema settings as described above, you are essentially setting up the WebPage Schema for your generic webpage. This schema provides details like the date of publication, URL, title, and language of the page.

Regarding your second question, yes, a generic webpage like a company’s homepage that offers a general overview of the brand and its product range is best represented by the WebPage Schema. It accurately describes the nature of such pages as webpages without specific focus on a particular product or service.

Thank you for reaching out with your questions. If you need further assistance or have more queries, feel free to ask.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

The WebPage Schema is added automatically to all the pages by our plugin and it uses the information from the page to do it.

If you check the article you shared it states the same when you click on the WebPage Schema section from the table of contents.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Thanks Miguel. I see – so if my webpage is just a webpage (and not an article or any other listed option) I should keep the schema setting ‘off’ and it will automatically just be WebPage schema? Is that right?

    Hello,

If you disable the Schema (structured Data) module, no schema from Rank Math will be available on your site.

If you want only the default schema to be available on a webpage you don’t have to take any other action just don’t add any schema to that page.

You can test the schema available on a webpage using https://validator.schema.org/ or https://search.google.com/test/rich-results

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thank you. I still need clarity on on/off enable/disable as this meaning is not clear to me sorry.

My page looks like this in the dashboard at the moment:

Does this mean schema is disabled? I want it to be default ‘WebPage’ schema.

Inside the page, I have a button to ‘generate schema’ with only these options:

Please explain how to have schema ‘enabled’ to default WebPage.

    Hello,

The “Schema: Off” means that you haven’t set any schema from our pre-defined schema type for that page.

However, Rank Math will still add the webPage schema as it is added automatically.

If you add any schema from the screenshot you shared and fill it in, that schema will be shown on the list page as well.

    Hope that helps.
