Hello beautiful people of RankMath, a while ago my website was hacked and it lost connections, one of them was rank math stats not displaying in WordPress CMS after the backup, but your friendly employee showed me how to reset it and I thank him/her for it. Today I stumbled upon a missing sitemap, apparently, it disappeared after the backup from the hack or something, could you please help me reconnect it? Is there a reconnect option or should I reinstall the plugin or something?

Any insight will be highly appreciated

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

For the sitemap, please follow these steps:
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, clear your website and browser cache and resubmit the sitemap_index.xml in the Search Console.

For Analytics, let’s try deleting old imported data and start the fresh data fetch. Please follow these steps.

    1. Head over to WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> Tools & Status and click the ‘Rebuild Index’ button https://i.rankmath.com/kecLYK
    2. Head over to WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> General Settings >> Analytics tab, and click the ‘Delete Data’ button and then click the ‘Update Data Manually’ https://i.rankmath.com/fvcsbF
    3. It will start the new data fetch from Google. You can reload the page to see the notice related to the import process.
    4. Once the process is complete. Please recheck the Analytics page.

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Thank you so much for your replies!! <3

I have a custom structure in settings-permalinks and if I change it to “post name” a new info tab appears below “product permalinks” where I can also choose the “custom base” and it gives out your warning message: Rank Math Warning: Changing the permalinks on a live, indexed site may result in serious loss of traffic if done incorrectly. Consider adding a new redirection from the old URL format to the new one. (is it alot of work? and is this redirection necessary?)

Im sorry, I just want to double check, am I safe to proceed? https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
I already changed the links per sitemap to 201 like in the video instead of 1000 like it was on my website but this error message made me want to double-check, all other steps are very clear and straightforward, thank you.

    Hello,

You do not need to change the permalink structure. You only need to save the permalinks settings without changing anything.

    I hope that helps.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Thank you for such an easy to follow guide,

I finished step 1 and 2 and and flushed the cache everywhere except cloudflare since it said cloudflare doesnt need this and instead does things automatically. when I was about to resubmit sitemap in google search console I noticed sitemap still appears missing in wp panel rankmath plugin general tab: https://snipboard.io/a0XKvL.jpg . Perhaps I had some options reset after the backup from the hack? currently, in rankmath I have only these 3 options turned ON, everything else is turned OFF, not sure how many there should be?(I have products in website and products sitemap is off)
    https://snipboard.io/4p0UkG.jpg
    https://snipboard.io/dTmVQP.jpg
And this is how e-landing page sitemap looks https://snipboard.io/PEe0fS.jpg

Should I have generated the sitemap somewhere, or is it done automatically?
Not sure if this helps, if you need any info please let me know
Hope you have a good evening

    Hello,

Please follow the steps in this screencast again and make sure that the sitemaps are excluded from caching:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

Then, clear the website and browser cache and check the sitemap.

If you have products on your website, you should enable the Include in Sitemap option for your products.

For e-landing page sitemap, if you do not have any posts in this post type, you can disable the Include in Sitemap option or if you have the posts in this post type and they are set to index, the sitemap should be updated when you clear the cache.

    I hope this helps.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

It generated a sitemap https://alarusinteriors.com/sitemap_index.xml which I now resubmitted to search console and stats show there well. I finished all 4 steps and deleted the cache and it shows this: https://snipboard.io/oCkUTi.jpg
Probably I have to wait a few days for stats to renew? or do you reckon that’s still an error?

    Best wishes,
    Arthur

    Hello,

The stats look fine and updated. Please wait for Google to crawl your sitemap again. Also, the stats in the dashboard renew every 7 days automatically.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thanks.

    Hello wonderful people of rankmath,

Its been 7 stressful days and my website views and impressions plummeted to all-time low or even non existent, https://snipboard.io/SqMUg6.jpg im not sure what im doing wrong… Also search console, 2 days ago sent me an error that Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’, those are “cart” and “my account”, so they should be no index but perhaps I overdid the sitemaps? Which sitemap is responsible for these? Posts, pages? Perhaps I should have some of them turned off?

    Hello,

I have checked your sitemap_index.xml file and it was loading perfectly fine.

    Sitemap

Next, I checked your sitemap for any validation errors and the sitemap was validated successfully.

Have a look at the below screenshot –

    Sitemap Validation

Finally, I checked the robots.txt file of your site and I feel that you should modify your robots.txt file to look like this:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin/
    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    Sitemap: https://alarusinteriors.com/sitemap_index.xml

Here is a guide for your reference:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-with-rank-math/

Once done, please remove all the submitted sitemaps and resubmit your main sitemap – sitemap_index.xml and give Google some time to recrawl your website. Google will use that to get your other sitemaps.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Hello, thank you so much for checking it out, really appreciate.

This is what I see when trying to edit robots.txt through rankmath-settings:

#Begin Attracta SEO Tools Sitemap. Do not remove
    sitemap: http://cdn.attracta.com/sitemap/5990570.xml.gz
#End Attracta SEO Tools Sitemap. Do not remove

Contents are locked because a robots.txt file is present in the root folder.

I dont even have this attracta plugin installed nor did i use it, is it like a subsidiary of the RankMath? Should I just delete it and copy-paste your code? Just making sure, so I dont mess more things.

ALso not sure if this is related, but this has been hoovering above panels for quite some time now as well even before all this: “Rank Math has detected a new post type: wcwar_warranty_req. You may want to check the settings of the Titles & Meta page and the Sitemap.”

    Hello,

First, you need to check if there is a robots.txt file in the root directory of your website and delete the file from there.

It is the same folder where you have your wp-content, wp-admin
    etc.. folders.

Once you delete the robots.txt file, Rank Math’s virtual robots.txt file will take over and you will be able to edit the robots.txt file.

Then, edit the robots.txt file from Rank Math and add the rules shared by my colleague above.

For the notification, Rank Math shows that notification whenever it detects a new post type on your website. You can check the post type settings in the Titles & Meta settings, you can click on the x button and clear the notification.

You can check this link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/new-post-type-detected/

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.

    Ok done,

“Once done, please remove all the submitted sitemaps and resubmit your main sitemap – sitemap_index.xml” – you mean resubmit it in google search console or press OFF and ON buttons on rankmath sitemaps settings page above “Include this post type in the XML sitemap.” text?

Would you recommend modal pop up box and landing page sitemaps to be on or off in ecommerce site? I didnt find info about those 2

    Anas
    Rank Math business

    Hello,

You should resubmit the sitemap in the Search Console.

If you have set the modal popup box and landing pages to index, you should add them to the sitemap.

    Hope that helps.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Hi it’s still not showing statistics for some reason, can anyone help me ive been struggling for a month now 🙁 https://snipboard.io/fZSqy5.jpg

    Hello,

Please reconnect your Analytics account on this website, to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics:
    Reconnect GSC

Also, please share the screenshot of the Google Search Console organic traffic data from the last 30 days so we can compare it with the data we are getting.

As for the “No Data” posts, those are the ones that don’t have any SEO score on them saved in the database.

To get an SEO Score you need to add a focus keyword and then hit the update button on the post/page.

Hope this helps solve your issues and clarify any doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
