When I create new page and optimize it fully for search engines, it does not appear in the search results in traditional browsers such as Chrome – it does not even appear in in the first pages of search results at all …. However, it does appear when I use Tor broswer and it show up in the first first search result.

    Why?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your new page not appearing in search results on traditional browsers like Chrome. There are several reasons why this might be happening:

    1. Indexing Delay: If your website is new or if the page was just created, it may take some time for Google to index it. This process can take a few days to weeks. You can use the Instant Indexing plugin for Google to help speed up the indexing process.

    2. Robots.txt Configuration: Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking Google from crawling your new page. You can check your robots.txt file using the robots.txt testing tool.

    3. Sitemap Submission: Make sure you have submitted your sitemap to Google Search Console. Rank Math automatically creates a Sitemap Index for your website, which can be found at https://yourdomainname/sitemap_index.xml. Submitting this can help Google find and crawl your pages more efficiently.

    4. Content Quality and SEO Optimization: Even if you have optimized the page, ensure that the content is unique, valuable, and relevant to your target audience. Duplicate content or low-quality content can affect visibility in search results.

    5. Manual Actions or Penalties: Check your Google Search Console for any manual actions or penalties that might be affecting your site’s visibility.

If the page appears in search results on the Tor browser, it could be due to different indexing or crawling behavior by search engines used by that browser compared to traditional browsers.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

Please note that ranking on Google and getting traffic depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean 🙂 https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Yes, but why in tor browser, it appear at the very top of search results and other traditional broswer do not appear at all?!

    Hello,

Please confirm if you use the same keyword in Google Search in both Chrome and TOR. You can also share some screenshots of the search results in TOR and Chrome so we can check further. You can use a tool like https://imgur.com/ to share screenshots.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Yes I do. No need to share screenshot.
Please use “Shellstone pavers” on tor anc chrome and you will the difference

    Hello,

TOR uses DuckDuckGo as the default search engines. So the results you see in it are for DuckDuckGo, not for Google Search. That’s why there is a difference. You can confirm that by visiting Google.com in TOR and searching the keyword.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

But why there is a huge difference between each broswer for search results. Why google does not show my website as DukeDukeGo?

    Hello,

Each search engine has its own algorithm to rank the search results. That’s why there can be a huge difference between the search results. You must follow the guide we shared before to learn about Google ranking factors and improve your site’s performance in Google Search.

    Hello,

Can you please share the affected website URL with us so that we can check further for you?

We checked your website with the site: operator and can see that some pages have been indexed on Google Search engine already.

It seems you’re facing a situation where your page is not showing up in Google search results for specific keywords. This issue could be due to various factors that affect how Google ranks and displays content in search results.

If you want your website to show in the search result page for a specific term, then you’d need to optimize your content around this term/keyword, such that when search engines index the page or your website, you’d be able to rank for the keyword.

Please note that only Google can determine how results are ranked in SERP and it is up to Google to show your content for the desired keyword when searched. Google’s algorithm controls the results in Google search result pages. However, Rank Math ensures that your website is indexed and available for search engines to display in search engine result pages.

You can learn more about the key factors that help determine which results are returned for a search query from this Google article: https://www.google.com/search/howsearchworks/how-search-works/ranking-results/

We hope that helps, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
