Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with version 1.0.237 crashing your website. It can be frustrating when updates lead to unexpected problems.
To address this, we recommend checking if the crash is related to the Action Scheduler, which has been known to cause issues in some installations. You can follow these steps to troubleshoot:
- Backup Your Database: Before making any changes, ensure you have a backup of your database.
- Repair Action Scheduler: You can use our Repair Action Scheduler plugin to fix this issue automatically on most sites. For multisite installations, use the multisite version.
- Check for Conflicts: Sometimes, conflicts with other plugins or themes can cause crashes. Try deactivating other plugins temporarily to see if the issue persists.
- Clear Cache: After making changes, clear all caches, including server cache.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with the specific error details from your site recovery emails, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to resolve it quickly for you!
Hello,
Cueing from other users where this issue was investigated, we found that it is happening due to the conflicting ActionScheduler packages used in the plugins on the site.
There is likely a plugin using an older version of the ActionScheduler package, while our plugin uses the latest version, v3.9.1.
Since it’s on an external plugin, the culprit plugin will need to update this package in their plugin. They might have already done this in their latest version, kindly ensure you are using the latest versions of all plugins and theme.
If they are all up to date the easiest way to identify the culprit plugin will be to do a plugin/theme conflict check; you can follow this guide for that: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Kindly reach out to their support team concerning this issue.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi Jeremy
I have checked a few things, as well as clearing out the action-scheduler databases.
What is triggering the issue I think is using the “Tools-Scheduled Actions” menu – this flips the site into recovery mode.
This does not occur if Rankmath plugin is deactivated.
This has never happened prior.
Can you perhaps send me the previous version of Rankmath for me to install and see if the issue still occurs?
Hi Jeremy
I found in the Rankmath settings how to rollback to a previous version. I have rolled back to 1.0.236 and the issue is no longer occurring.
So something introduced in 1.0.237 is clashing with a core wordpress Admin Page – which is the ActionScheduler_AdminView
I hope the above helps locate the bug causing this issue.
Please let me know what you discover.
Cheers
Mark
