Unlike the HTML meta tag that is only seen by Google when your website is public, the DNS value is seen regardless of the status of your website.
Assuming you have waited 48 hours that it usually takes for DNS changes to propagate, you can talk to your domain/hosting provider and confirm if the value is correctly added to your website which it seems like it is now:
