Sure, it is fine and you can use that.
There is no issue as far as Rank Math is concerned.
With that said, you could also use this bridge plugin as an alternative to make Rank Math read your Oxygen content: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpdevdesign-rankmath-integration-for-oxygen/
Hope that helps.
I actually used that plugin but in combination with complex nested Oxygen Templates and custom fields it is unfortunately useless.
I will use my method.
