  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about using Content AI for e-commerce product pages. I understand that you are facing challenges with optimizing existing product descriptions and ensuring that the generated content aligns with SEO standards and product description norms.

Based on the information you provided, it seems that the AI-generated content may not fully meet your requirements, especially in terms of including product identifiers, HTML formatting with H1 headers, and aligning with SEO recommendations for product descriptions.

To address the issues you mentioned:

    1. Product Identifiers: It’s crucial to include product identifiers like product numbers in descriptions for customer clarity. You can manually edit the generated content to include these identifiers to ensure customers can identify the correct products.

    2. HTML Formatting: While the AI may not provide content in HTML format with H1 headers, you can manually adjust the content to include proper HTML formatting, such as using H1 headers where necessary to meet SEO standards.

    3. Optimization: To ensure your page is optimized, consider the following recommendations:

      • Increase the content length from 115 words to at least 600 words.
      • Include the focus keyword in subheadings (H2, H3, etc.).
      • Reduce the keyword density from 2.61 to within the recommended range.
      • Shorten the URL length from 194 characters.
      • Add external and internal links as suggested.

If you find it challenging to optimize the content using Content AI, you may need to manually review and edit the generated content to meet your specific requirements and SEO standards for product descriptions.

The response is basically telling me to do the work myself and would like a refund based on the response.

    1. Manually entering data defeats the purpose of having Content AI.
    2. I don’t know HTML coding.
    3. The recommendations are basically telling me to do it myself and don’t align with my concerns.

The Content AI feature was rarely used.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

In the picture you shared you are using the SEO metadata generation and that cannot include any HTML tags. The SEO metadata being generated from the tool is composed of the SEO title and SEO description and those need to be plain text to be able to be added to the source code in the appropriate meta tags, which are <title> and <meta name="description">, respectively.

To generate product descriptions to add to your product pages and not the metadata you should use the appropriate tool for that, which we explain here: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-ai-product-description-tool/

As for the addition of HTML, that is not done by Content AI because it’s not possible to be sure that the output is generating semantic HTML as that depends on factors such as the theme you are using and how you intend to structure the layout of the page.

Our tool is only designed for content, not for page markup.

Last but not least, the recommendations you shared are part of our Content Analysis API and they serve the purpose of helping people optimize how the page is viewed by search engines and improve the optimization for the desired focus keyword but that is separate from Content AI.

That feature looks for small little queues in the content and only checks some technical aspects of the content while the Content AI tool is an advanced content generation tool that much more than look only at the technical aspects it also looks at getting great user engagement and overcome the competition of your particular niche.

Hope this helps clarify the situation further.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
