hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with your Google Search Console report and URL indexing issues.
I did a site:search for the non-WWW URL of your website and it showed in the results. (Screenshot in sensitive data) Occasionally, GSC may show outdated indexing information.
We recommend that you use redirect all versions of your website to one version. If your preferred version is the https://www please point all other URLs to that. as there can be only one canonical version. You can contact your host for help creating the redirects.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
My preferred version is ''https://''. As you recommended I should redirect all versions to one version, but it is already doing it, the site redirects ''https://www'' to non www, but google seems to prefer www version and lists non www as duplicate, therefore excluding it and everything in it from appearing on google (besides 2 pages if doing a site: search). Also as you can see from the site search it is showing both non www and a www result which is confusing because the canonical is strictly specified as the non www.
At this point I am not sure if I should just give it a week or two to work, or should I be trying other solutions.
Hello,
Please wait while google indexes your pages. When I did another site: search today I found a few more pages indexed on your site. Screenshot:

In the mean time, you can check your Google Search Console coverage report for any issues affecting indexing that might need to be fixed.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
4-5 days ago, I made indexing requests on GSC as an experiment to index specific pages (specific URLs) within the website. The results which you can now see on google is the pages which I requested to index. I wouldn’t want to do it for every single URL in the page while there is a sitemap available for google, but seems like the only option now.
As well as, I cant see these pages ( the ones which can be seen on google search ) on google coverage, it shows that there are 0 valid pages, which I assumed to be because of the canonical problem.
Unfortunately, I will just wait a week or few and see what happens… Interesting that on other search engines the website has been indexed correctly.
Hello,
The Coverage report in the Search Console is slower and it may take some time for it to update.
However, if there is no rise in invalid pages in the Search Console then there is nothing to be worried about.
Crawling and indexing of the website depends on the authority and crawl budget of the website.
It is completely up to Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your pages noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your pages – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your post yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.
Please check this website for more details.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you for the reply!
Today as I am looking at GSC I have noticed that requesting individual URLs from the site has somehow worked with speeding things up. From coverage report I can see that google has now discovered but hasn’t yet indexed the pages.
Hopefully with enough time it will resolve the canonical error for the homepage as well which is my main concern. Due to this error, it’s currently indexing other pages higher than the main page (at the end of 2nd page of google results i can now see the ”contact page”…
Hello,
A self-referring canonical is already added to the homepage so this should not cause any issues.
Please wait for some time and let Google crawl and index the URLs.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
As a follow up:
Today the non www version which is my canonical seems to be indexed by GSC.
On the other hand, if I am inspecting the www property then I am seeing an error message (In sensitive data)
Should I be concerned about it, or does it mean that google is just slowly fixing the canonical issue which I had ?
Hello,
The www version of the URL was last crawled on 25 May, you need to wait for Google to remove that URL from the search results.
If you have the www property verified in the Search Console, you can request the removal for the URL.

Hope this helps.
Thank you.
As you can see from the image in the sensitive data, google says that the URL is not on google (www version), so there is no need for the removal request, also when I am doing a ”site: ” search it now doesn’t appear on google, Tho I am worried that it shows the ”Redirect error”.
When doing URL inspection on non www version, it says that it now is on google / may appear on google, and google has selected it as the user declared canonical, but if i open the coverage report, it still shows that google has excluded the non www version due to ” Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical ”, which is in conflict with the URL inspection. ( See the last 2 pictures in sensitive data )
Hello,
The coverage report is dated June 13th while the URL inspection is up-to-date. Please wait for for the coverage report to be update with the latest crawl information.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
