    Hi Rank Math Team,

I’m reaching out regarding a critical indexing issue affecting our site blauebohne.com, specifically in connection with persistent and unexplained noindex tags on key pages (including our Shop and Product Category pages).

    Issue Overview:
Google Search Console shows that over 100 pages are excluded from indexing due to a noindex tag — many of which were previously indexed. Despite revalidation and checking all plugin settings, this problem persists and is now growing in scope.

We have not manually added noindex to these pages, and there are no custom functions or other SEO plugins installed that would override Rank Math’s behavior.

    Steps Taken So Far:
    Inspected live HTML output
Confirmed that the tag <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow”> is still being injected on affected pages (see Screenshot 2).

Confirmed correct Global and Archive Settings

Global Meta is set to index, follow

Product Archives, Shop Page, and Misc Pages are all set to allow indexing

No overrides are set on individual pages or products

    Revalidation in Google Search Console
Despite correcting and confirming all settings, Google still reports noindex, and validation fails. Affected pages include the homepage, product pages, category archives, and filter URLs.

Cleared cache and tested with only Rank Math and WooCommerce enabled

    What We Need
We kindly ask for your help to:

Identify any hidden logic in Rank Math that could be re-injecting noindex to archive or WooCommerce pages

Clarify if there is a known issue or conflict (e.g., with Blocksy or WooCommerce)

Suggest a method to completely remove all noindex behavior from templates managed by Rank Math

This issue is affecting SEO and discoverability of our shop and needs urgent resolution.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the persistent noindex tags on your site. Thank you for providing a detailed overview of the steps you’ve taken so far; it helps us understand the situation better.

Here are some suggestions to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the noindex issue:

    1. Check Rank Math’s Titles & Meta Settings: Ensure that the settings for your Product Archives, Shop Page, and Misc Pages are indeed set to index. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and reviewing each section. Make sure that there are no default settings that might be overriding your preferences.
Set Noindex in Titles and Meta Settings

    2. Inspect Individual Pages: Even if global settings are correct, check the individual settings for the affected pages. Sometimes, specific pages may have their own settings that could be set to noindex. You can change these settings using the Rank Math Meta box on each page or product.

    3. Review Theme and Plugin Conflicts: Since you mentioned using Blocksy, ensure that there are no theme settings that might be adding noindex tags. Additionally, even though you have disabled other SEO plugins, double-check for any custom functions in your theme’s functions.php file that might be affecting indexing.

    4. Clear Caches: After making changes, ensure that you clear any caching plugins you may have and also clear your browser cache to see the latest changes reflected.

    5. Use Google Search Console: After making adjustments, revalidate in Google Search Console to see if the changes take effect. It may take some time for Google to re-crawl and update its index.

If after following these steps the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket with your site URL and any additional details or screenshots you have. A human agent from our support team will then take over and provide more tailored assistance.

We understand how critical this issue is for your site’s SEO and discoverability, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it together.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hi again,

Thanks for your response — however, I have already gone through every single step listed in the troubleshooting guide, including inspecting global settings, individual pages, theme/plugin conflicts, and caching layers. I’ve even tested the live HTML, which still shows noindex on key pages.

All relevant screenshots were already provided and clearly show that:

noindex is being injected despite Rank Math settings being correct

validation in Google Search Console has failed

the issue is growing (112 pages now excluded)

Can you please escalate this to a human support agent for a deeper look into:

Potential noindex injection via WooCommerce archive handling

    Any known conflicts with Blocksy

Whether Rank Math PRO may be injecting this via undocumented filters or conditions

Thanks in advance — this issue is currently harming search visibility of key pages.

    Best regards,

Hi. the situation is pretty urgent, the issue is affecting my online shop and not being indexed affects the discovery of my product and my sales. I thought you responded in 24 hours.

    Hello,

We checked, and the shop page is already set to index.

Though we can see that the page is not indexed on Google yet.

In this case, please try to clear your website cache, including any server-level cache, and revalidate the issue in Google Search Console. Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your site.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
