Update expiry dates with Jobposting schema generator

#337295
  • I have a job listing website, where I publish government jobs regularly. I use Rankmath’s JobPosting Schema.

But when I update one particular organization’s job post then I have to update the expiry dates given on the schema previously. Will this work??

Because previously I post that job with the expiry date in the schema. So, when that job expires the job post was removed from the search engine’s job listing snippet.

Now I don’t want to change the content (i.e except dates and titles) but I have to update the schema. Will it show again on the search engine’s job listing snippet with a new expiry date??

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support today and bringing your concern to our attention.

Yes, Google should still acknowledge your job posting when you modify or extend the expiry date.

We have an option where the post will be set as “draft” when the job post is already expired. So you might have enabled this, that is why Google is removing expired job postings of your website.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
