    Rank Math free

Hello, this morning I updated Rank Math and then my website got a critical error message. I was unable to log in but my host was able to disable it for me.

I have not re-activated the plugin yet because I do not want to be logged out again.

Please let me know if I should reactivate or if there are any known problems with the most recent update.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Can you please share the error log with us?

Having an error log will help us determine what is causing the critical error on your website.

You can follow this guide to enable debugging in WordPress
https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ or you can get in touch with your web host, they will help you locate the log file.

We really look forward to helping you.

Hello. My host said I didn’t like any live errors? But WordPress did send me this message in the email:

An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 124 of the file /home/themesy3/public_html/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/admin/class-assets.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’

    Hello,

We’ve released a quick update for the free version of our plugin, can you please install the latest version v1.0.98.1 and see if the issue gets resolved?

For now, we’ve rolled back to the 7.2 version of PHP, but we’re recommending our users to update their PHP version to 7.4.

Feel free to check our changelog from the URL below:
    https://rankmath.com/changelog/free/

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

    Look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
