    Rank Math free

    Hello,

Today I decided to uninstall Rank Math.
However, the plugin still shows even after clearing the site cache.
I request that the plugin is fully removed from the site as it is causing conflicts with other plugins.

I can of course go and remove the folder from the file manager settings on my hosting but I am reluctant to do so in case it affects other areas of my website.

When I go to edit a page, the plugin still shows until I use screen options.
Also. please advise of the best course of action as at the moment, I can not update any SEO settings on Yoast it seems that Yoast Premium is now not showing any data

Please advise on how to proceed.
    Many thanks,
    David

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The plugin should not show up after it has been deactivated which makes this very odd.
I can suggest that you rename the seo-by-rankmath folder via FTP and check if this will still be reproduced.

Once import has finished, Rank Math gives you the option to clean the data and if you have already clicked on this option then the previous SEO settings might have been lost but you can recover the setting by rolling back to a previous database backup.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me.
So here is where there are very odd issues.
I just went in into the file manager of the hosting account and looked at the plugin section. I cannot see the Rankmath folder and yet the Rankmath settings are on the WordPress left-hand side menu.
    This is very troubling.
Is there another place it may be hiding?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the reply.

I am not sure what is causing this. Would you mind sharing some temporary FTP and WP access so that we can check this further?

Please include the details in the designated Sensitive Data section.
