The canonical URL is also something that WordPress implements and that is the file that controls this implementation and the redirection to the canonical in case it’s needed.
Since this is not related to Rank Math it falls outside the scope of our support.

I deactivated the plugin and I see that I no longer receive that error.
I think it may not be the problem with the plugin, but it may contribute to this error.

This could be a misconfiguration on either WordPress or the server configuration file.
For WordPress, you can check that the options table has the correct values for the siteurl and home as for the server configuration you would need to check the configuration values with your hosting provider.
