  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with verifying your website on Google Search Console. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the HTML tag verification method:

    1. Ensure Correct Code Placement: Make sure that you have copied the HTML tag correctly and pasted it in the right section of the Rank Math plugin. You can find this under WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Webmaster Tools.

      Navigate to the Webmaster Tools

    2. Save Changes: After pasting the code, ensure you scroll down and click Save Changes.
Scroll down and click Save Changes

    3. Clear Cache: If Google is still unable to verify your site, try clearing your website’s cache and then attempt the verification process again. You can find instructions on how to clear your cache here.

    4. Check for Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins or themes may conflict with the verification process. Temporarily disable other plugins to see if that resolves the issue.

    5. Use the HTML File Method: If you prefer using the HTML file method, ensure that you upload the file provided by Google Search Console to the root directory of your website.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to resolve it for you soon!

    Hello,

Thank you for your query, and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Please make sure that you’ve connected the correct Google account and not connecting to Google Search Console via a domain property but rather a URL prefix and that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

Please note that you may need to choose the property https://domain.com/ and not the sc:domain.com upon connecting your site.

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

In this case, please follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

    Prefix

After that, please try reconnecting your Google Account again from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics, and don’t forget to check all the necessary permission.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I’m still unable to verify with search console. Are you sure there is nothing more easier than this? This is very hard and several steps, need help now.
