Unable to set schema type to NewsArticle via REST API

    Hi, I’m using the WordPress REST API along with Rank Math to automate the publication of AI-rewritten news articles on my blog. I’m able to set the SEO title, meta description, and other fields via a POST request, but I haven’t been able to change the schema type from “Article” to “NewsArticle”.

    Could you please clarify which field should be used in the API payload to correctly change the schema type to “NewsArticle”? If this isn’t currently supported via REST, is there any recommended workaround?

    Please note that the newsArticle schema can be set via the News Sitemap feature, which is available with Rank Math PRO.
