Unable to set default Product meta description

    Hi guys,

    having some issues with Rank Math SEO + Elementor. I’ve set all the product titles & meta settings but when I check a product, the title and meta description do not match what I’ve set it to be in the main Rank Math settings for Products. It just gets overriden by the default settings: Short description I believe.

    It should read: “ProductTitle (for example Zwart – 50 stuks) shop je gemakkelijk en voordelig op Feestloods.nl. Op werkdagen voor 17.00 besteld = morgen in huis”, but it shows the (way to long) short description of the product instead.

    Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

    Hi,

    Still not able to get in.

    It is always a good idea to test the logins in an Incognito window so we can all save time in back and forth and solve the issue ASAP.

    Hi,

    It seems to be working properly.

    I check one of your product pages and have included a screenshot of the meta description and title working properly as per the settings in the Rank Math SEO Meta box.

    Do check and let us know if there is a particular product you are facing this issue on.

    I think we’re not on the same page here lol.

    As you can see here: I’ve set the product meta to be something else by default.

    Currently, it displays the product short description as product meta instead of the one I’ve set it to be in the RankMath settings.

    HI there,

    Apologies for the delay.

    The product short description does not work the same as the normal post description global settings. The short description that you have set for each product will override the global settings set under Rank Math > Titles & Meta settings.

    You can however override this on a product by product basis.
