I just became aware via Google Search Console that my site is not being indexed. Sure enough there is a <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, follow”/> in the header!!! I don’t know how it got there and I can’t remove it unless I disable the RankMath plugin (I’ve confirmed that does indeed remove it). I’ve check the page & post setting which all have “index” checked.
When I visit the home page (when logged in) then hover over the “Rank Math SEO” > “Mark this page” > “as noindex”, I see that it is oddly checked so I of course click it to uncheck it and it instantly removes the checkbox. But then I reload the page, check it again and the check mark is back!!! What is going on!?!
I have also gone to the “Rank Math SEO” > “SEO Settings for Pages” and I see under “Page Robots Meta” that the “Index” checkbox is indeed check and that the “No Index” checkbox is unchecked! What is going on!?!
I’m about to switch to another plugin out of necessity. This is very frustrating. I have check another site that also has the same version of Rank Math and it’s not having this problem. I’ve compered the setting it has and have tried everything to no avail.
PLEASE advise. THANKS!
