    Rank Math free

Recently I uninstalled yoast seo plugin & shifted to rankmath. The problem is I don’t know how to configure rankmath as I am unable to import the settings from Yoast to rank math due to a compatibility issue.

Another thing is pages are getting deindexed during yoast & I am unable to find the robots txt file in rankmath.

I am too much worried about how can I fix these issues myself. Please help

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issues you are facing with importing your Yoast SEO settings into Rank Math and the deindexing of your pages.

    Importing Yoast SEO Settings

If you’re having trouble importing your settings from Yoast, it could be due to using an older version of Rank Math. We recommend updating to the latest version of Rank Math to resolve any compatibility issues. Once updated, you can import your settings by following these steps:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Status & Tools in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Click on the Import & Export tab.
    3. Under the Other Plugins section, find the Yoast SEO tab and select the data you want to import.
    4. Click the Import button and confirm the action.

For detailed guidance, you can refer to our Yoast SEO Migration guide.

    Robots.txt File

Regarding the robots.txt file, Rank Math automatically generates this file for you. You can find and edit it by going to Rank Math → General Settings → Edit Robots.txt. If you need to customize it, you can do so directly from this section.
